Responsible Gaming

Our Commitment to You

Player safety is at the core of everything we do

PolyWager is built on the principle that gaming should be enjoyable, exciting, and most importantly, safe. We recognize that while the vast majority of our players gamble responsibly, some individuals may develop behaviors that negatively impact their lives. We take this responsibility seriously.

Our platform is designed with player protection at its foundation. We invest in industry-leading responsible gaming tools, partner with recognized gambling support organizations, and continuously improve our systems to identify and assist players who may be at risk. We do not view responsible gaming as a regulatory checkbox -- it is a core value that shapes every product decision we make.

We are committed to: providing transparent and easily accessible self-limitation tools; never targeting or marketing to vulnerable individuals; maintaining strict underage gambling prevention measures; training our support team to recognize and respond to signs of problem gambling; and ensuring that any player who needs help can access it quickly and without stigma.

Know the Warning Signs

Problem gambling can develop gradually and may be difficult to recognize in yourself. If any of the following signs feel familiar, it may be time to reassess your gambling habits and seek support.

Spending Beyond Your Means

Regularly spending more on gambling than you can afford, dipping into savings, or using money intended for essential expenses like rent, bills, or groceries.

Chasing Losses

Continuing to gamble in an attempt to recover money you have already lost. This behavior typically leads to even greater losses and can create a destructive cycle.

Affecting Relationships

Gambling causing tension, arguments, or withdrawal from family, friends, or colleagues. Neglecting social obligations or important events to gamble instead.

Lying About Gambling

Hiding the extent of your gambling from loved ones, minimizing how much time or money you spend, or being secretive about your online activity.

Borrowing to Gamble

Taking out loans, borrowing from friends or family, selling personal belongings, or using credit cards to fund your gambling activity.

Anxiety When Not Gambling

Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when you are not gambling. Using gambling as an escape from stress, depression, or other emotional problems.

Self-Assessment

This confidential self-assessment can help you evaluate your gambling behavior. Answer each question honestly. Your answers are not stored or shared -- this tool runs entirely in your browser.

Protection Tools We Offer

We provide a comprehensive suite of tools to help you stay in control. All tools are free, easy to configure, and available in your account settings.

Deposit Limits

Set daily, weekly, or monthly caps on how much you can deposit. Increases take effect after a cooling-off period; decreases apply immediately.

Loss Limits

Define the maximum amount you are willing to lose over a given period. Once reached, further wagers will be blocked until the limit resets.

Wager Limits

Control the total amount you can wager per day, week, or month. This helps pace your play regardless of wins or losses.

Session Time Limits

Set how long you can play in a single session. When your time is up, you will be logged out automatically and must wait before playing again.

Reality Check Reminders

Receive periodic on-screen notifications showing your session duration, net result, and the option to continue or stop playing.

Cool-Off Periods

Take a temporary break from gambling. Choose from 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During this time, you cannot place bets or make deposits.

Self-Exclusion

Exclude yourself from the platform for 6 months, 1 year, or permanently. During exclusion, your account will be fully restricted from all gambling activity.

Account Closure

Permanently close your account at any time. All remaining balances will be returned to your last deposit address, and your account data will be handled per our privacy policy.

How to Set Limits

Follow these steps to configure your responsible gaming limits. The entire process takes less than two minutes.

1

Log In to Your Account

Sign in with your credentials. If you have not registered yet, you can create an account and set limits during the registration process.

2

Navigate to Settings

Click on your profile icon or navigate to your account settings. Select the "Responsible Gaming" or "Limits" section from the menu.

3

Choose Your Limit Type

Select the type of limit you want to set: deposit limit, loss limit, wager limit, or session time limit. Each type can be configured independently.

4

Set Your Amount or Duration

Enter the amount or duration for your chosen limit. Select whether the limit applies daily, weekly, or monthly. We recommend starting with conservative limits.

5

Confirm and Activate

Review your settings and confirm. Limit decreases and new limits take effect immediately. Limit increases require a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period to prevent impulsive decisions.

Important: For your protection, requests to increase or remove limits are subject to a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period. This prevents impulsive changes. Requests to decrease limits or add new restrictions always take effect immediately.

Self-Exclusion Program

If you need to take a significant break from gambling, our self-exclusion program provides the strongest level of account restriction available.

How Self-Exclusion Works

When you activate self-exclusion, your account is immediately and comprehensively restricted. You will not be able to log in, place bets, make deposits, or access any gaming functionality. Marketing communications will be stopped, and your account will be hidden from public features such as leaderboards.

Available Exclusion Periods

6 Months

Your account will automatically reactivate after 6 months. You can choose to extend the exclusion before it expires.

1 Year

Your account will automatically reactivate after 12 months. A mandatory 7-day waiting period applies before you can play.

Permanent

Your account will be permanently closed with no option to reopen. This decision is irreversible.

What Happens to Your Funds

Any remaining balance in your account will be returned to your last used deposit wallet address. Withdrawal processing will be completed within 48 hours of your self-exclusion request. If there are pending wagers at the time of exclusion, they will be settled normally and any winnings will be included in your withdrawal.

Permanent exclusion is irreversible. Once you choose permanent self-exclusion, your account cannot be reopened under any circumstances. We cannot make exceptions to this policy. Please consider a time-limited exclusion if you are unsure.

To initiate self-exclusion, visit your account settings or contact our support team.

Underage Gambling Prevention

Strict 18+ policy with robust verification

PolyWager strictly prohibits anyone under the age of 18 (or the legal gambling age in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher) from using our platform. We enforce this policy through multiple layers of verification:

  • Age declaration during registration with date of birth verification
  • Know Your Customer (KYC) identity verification using government-issued ID before withdrawals are permitted
  • Automated monitoring systems that flag accounts exhibiting patterns inconsistent with declared age
  • Immediate account closure and forfeiture of funds if underage gambling is detected

Advice for Parents and Guardians

If you are concerned that a minor in your care may be accessing gambling websites, we recommend the following steps:

  • Keep your devices and accounts password-protected. Do not allow minors to use accounts registered in your name.
  • Use parental control software to block access to gambling websites. Popular options include Net Nanny, Qustodio, and built-in OS parental controls.
  • Have open conversations with young people about the risks of gambling and why age restrictions exist.
  • Monitor internet activity and be aware of any crypto wallet apps or transactions on shared devices.

If you suspect that a minor has created an account on PolyWager, please contact our support team immediately at support@polywager.io and we will investigate and take action within 24 hours.

Tips for Responsible Gaming

Keep your gaming experience positive by following these guidelines. Responsible gambling is the foundation of an enjoyable experience.

Set a Budget and Stick to It

Before you start playing, decide exactly how much money you can afford to lose. Treat this as the cost of entertainment, like buying a movie ticket. Once your budget is spent, stop.

Set Time Limits

Decide in advance how long you will play. Use our session time limit feature to enforce this automatically. Taking regular breaks helps you maintain perspective.

Never Chase Losses

Losing is a normal part of gambling. Trying to recover losses by increasing your bets or playing longer almost always leads to bigger losses. Accept the outcome and walk away.

Do Not Gamble When Emotional

Avoid gambling when you are stressed, depressed, upset, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Emotional decision-making leads to poor judgment and impulsive bets.

Balance Gambling with Other Activities

Gambling should be one of many leisure activities, not your primary source of entertainment. Maintain your hobbies, social connections, and responsibilities.

Understand the Odds

Every game has a built-in house edge. Over time, the house will always have a mathematical advantage. Gambling is entertainment, not a reliable way to earn income.

Talk to Someone You Trust

If you are worried about your gambling habits, talk to a friend, family member, or professional counselor. Speaking openly about concerns is the first step toward positive change.

Know When to Stop

If gambling is no longer enjoyable or is causing you distress, it is time to take a break. Use our cool-off or self-exclusion tools, or reach out to a support organization.

Need to Talk?

Our dedicated responsible gaming support team is available 24/7. Whether you need help setting limits, activating self-exclusion, or simply want to talk about your concerns, we are here for you. All conversations are confidential.
